Daniel Thomas, MD

Daniel is an assistant professor of Geriatric Medicine and advisor who works with high-achieving students and families navigating college and medical school pathways. He brings a longitudinal, strategy-driven perspective shaped by direct experience on both sides of the admissions process.

Dr. Thomas trained at Johns Hopkins Medicine and has served in multiple admissions and advisory roles, including undergraduate admissions strategy, serving on a top 20 medical school admissions committee, and graduate program recruitment. He has reviewed and interviewed hundreds of elite applicants and has mentored dozens of successful candidates through college, medical school, and residency applications.

His coaching emphasizes clarity over prestige-chasing, disciplined decision-making, and long-term fit. With a nontraditional background in Economics and early admission to medical school, he helps students think structurally about choices, incentives, and tradeoffs rather than optimizing for résumés alone.
